Sketch based on an old photo

Lately I've been practicing to draw with watercolor. I found it a bit difficult to control as I always end up adding too much water, but I like the variety of subtle effects that watercolor gives. My friend Morii sent me a few found photographs from the 70s so I decided to draw something based on one of the photos - a hand holding a spoon. This is an inspiring image because the white board doesn't cover the background entirely, showing that the person was actually hiding behind it.
