Painting for 100 Amigos Group Show @ El Kartel

This is a silly painting that I did for El Kartel's 100 Amigos show with original art work from 100 participating artists. Each was given a 12 x 12" canvas to work with. It has been YEARS since I last painted something and it was really fun to pick up the paint brush again. It almost felt like putting icing on a cake.

Show Opening

Slivers, Shivers and Snakeskin had a good turn out at last friday's opening. Too bad I didn't have my camera with me or else I would have taken some photos of other  awesome artworks and performances. Here's a couple of photos my friend took of my work. The show will be up till May 1st by appointment.

The Hunter

I had a lot of fun painting this..I like spontaneousness. I've always admired painters that does huge painting in one go. It takes a lot of courage to accept your own imperfections and the beauty in it.
Hand painted with ink and colored digitally....maybe I should put some animal in that empty spot in the lower right.
